Law school graduate with a JD or LLM degree, not yet admitted to the Bar of the State of New York *Membership in the Law School Graduate category is limited to 2 years.
Newly Admitted - Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York for less than 1 year Active 1 - Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York for 1-2 years Active 2 - Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York for 3-7 years Active 3 - Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York for 8-12 years Active 4 - Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York for 13-20 years Active 5 - Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York for 21+ years
A Member who elects to be a sustaining member in any year shall not be obligated to continue as such in any subsequent year. Sustaining Members shall be entitled to all privileges available to the class of membership from which such Member has elected to take sustaining membership.
Members of the Bar of the Sate of New York, or of any other state, territory, District of Columbia or foreign country, who neither practice nor reside within the city of New York shall be eligible for Associate Membership.
Attorneys no longer licensed to practice; or licensed as an Emeritus, or substantially retired from the practice of law
